Some simple dishes are too tempting to be just comfort food. I read the other day about some famous indian chef who said that his favourite food is curd rice! I was not surprised at all.
This dish is traditionally a south-indian dish. Sometimes it is served as offering to god in temples. Sometimes it acts as comfort food. It can be served as side-dish at the end of meal.
