Stuffed tomato is basically low carb dish. It can be a side dish or light snack. Tomato as a whole is stuffed with paneer (cottage cheese) and peas filling and baked. A very quick and tasty and must try dish!!

Feeds: 2 persons

Ingredients

4 ripe tomatoes

1 cup grated paneer( indian cottage cheese)

1/2 cup boiled peas

3 chopped chillies

1/2 tsp cumin powder( jeera powder)

1/2 tsp chaat masala

1/2 tsp coriander powder( dhaniya powder)

1/2 ginger garlic paste

1 tsp grated cheese

1 tbsp olive oil

salt

Take a pan( preferably a non-stick pan). Heat the oil. Add ginger-garlic paste, chopped chillies and mix it. Add cumin powder,chaat masala, coriander powder, salt . Mix it . Add grated paneer and peas.Mix properly.Put off  the heat.

Slice the top of each tomato with knife. Scoop out the seeds from tomato to make hollow space. Then fill up the tomatoes with paneer mixture. Sprinkle little grated cheese over it. Grease the oven dish with a drop of oil. Place tomatoes in dish and bake it for 7-8 minuted at 400w roughly. Serve hot with chilly sauce .Enjoy!

please note:

a) to make it a complete low calorie dish , use cabbage instead of paneer

b) baking time depends on how soft tomatoes are. If tomatoes are soft, care should be taken that tomatoes are not over-baked.
